What Personal Data We Collect and Why We Do It

To ensure that your website on Bluekea functions correctly and to provide you with the contracted services, we need to store your email address and name to send you relevant notifications, updates on the operation of Bluekea, or notifications of issues that may arise with our service or in the collection of payment if you subscribe to one of our paid plans.

Additionally, we offer you the option to subscribe to our mailing list, so we will use your email address to send you news about Bluekea, promotions, or other notifications that we believe may be of interest to you. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in all messages we send to this list, or by contacting us as indicated in the corresponding section of this document.

This data is collected through the sign-up or contact forms on our website or later via email.

Your data will only be used for the purposes mentioned above. Under no circumstances will we sell or transfer your personal data to third parties. We will only disclose your data to the competent authority in the case of legal requirements.

If you subscribe to a paid plan with us, we use providers such as Stripe or PayPal to manage both the data and the payment process. Bluekea does not store or have access to your payment data. We provide more information on this in the data storage section of this document.

How Long We Store Your Data

If you have a website with Bluekea, we will store your data as long as your website is active. If you deactivate your website, we will retain your data for a maximum of 6 months, unless you request its deletion earlier. We do this so we can contact you if necessary, for example, in case of issues with your payments.

If you are subscribed to our mailing list and do not have a Bluekea account, we will keep your data as long as you do not request to unsubscribe from the list. Once unsubscribed, we will stop sending you messages and will retain your data for a maximum of 1 month, as this is a manual process we perform at this frequency, unless you request its deletion earlier.

How to Exercise Your Right to Access, Rectify, and Delete Your Personal Data

You have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, or request its deletion at any time when your data is no longer necessary. In this case, you can contact our data processing officer:

Security Measures

This website, the content management services provided, and the resulting websites implement the following security measures:

Storage of Personal Data, Payment Data, and International Transfer

Bluekea has selected several providers located outside the European Union to host its services. For all of them, we have a data processing agreement that specifies the security and privacy measures these companies implement to comply with the current European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You can request a copy of these agreements by contacting us as indicated on this page. Our providers also comply with the European Union's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved in June 2021, which protect the fundamental privacy rights in the transfer of personal data between entities in the European Union and the United States.

Our providers are:

- Amazon Web Services, INC, which hosts the user-created website and all its data. More information.
- DigitalOcean, LLC, which hosts the user-created optional blog. More information.

Additionally, Bluekea uses other providers to manage payments if you subscribe to one of our paid plans.

The payment process for our services is managed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. & Cie, S.C.A. (“PayPal Europe”) and Stripe Inc. When subscribing to a paid plan, you can choose whether your payments are processed through PayPal or by entering credit card details. In the latter case, Stripe will manage the payments for your website. All personal or banking data involved in the payment of services is managed by these companies and is never accessible to us.

In the case of PayPal, all payment data is entered on the PayPal website, and you can manage it from your PayPal control panel. In the case of Stripe, Bluekea collects the payment data (number, expiration date, and security code) on its website and transfers this data to Stripe for payment processing. No other personal data is transferred to Stripe. Our form has an HTTPS certificate that ensures the encryption and privacy of your payment data. You can consult Stripe's privacy policy here. Stripe may transfer your data outside the EU, and like our other providers, it complies with the current European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the European Union's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

We use these companies solely for data storage. Your data is not used by them in any way, we are the only ones responsible for managing it.

By using an account on Bluekea, you grant us permission to transmit your data to these companies.
